Rebecca and Brent’s stunning Wagga Wagga wedding is featured in Bride to Be‘s Your Day Yearbook 2012. With some of the years best real weddings, their Your Day article showcases their classic country wedding full of simple colours, elegant lines and classic design. The couple were engaged after 8 months together and decided to be married in Wagga, where Rebecca’s parent’s live.
Rebecca found her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown while dress shopping in Los Angeles. She says, “My mother picked one that looked fairly average on the hanger, but as soon as I walked out of the change room I realised it was the one”. The bride also wore a stunning necklace by Lanvin… the perfect statement piece.
Their ceremony was held at Saint Michael’s Cathedral. And later the beautifully sunny day allowed us to photograph them amongst the yellow and green fields of Wagga for their location shoot, giving their day a big burst of colour.
The reception was held at Rebecca’s parent’s property, where a clear marquee was set up with hundreds of crystal vases that sat with pink, violet and white roses. Rebecca says of the styling, “I love flowers and wanted the reception to feel like you were in a garden”.
Their cake was made by the brides family where Rebecca’s grandmother made a traditional fruitcake for the top two layers and her mother made a Sachertorte for the bottom layer. The full cake was ten iced, wrapped with black ribbon around each layer and topped with fresh flowers. Only the bottom layer was served at their reception as the couple say they have ”kept the top two layers for the baptism of our first child”.
Brent and Rebecca’s dream team also includes Penny Lamont as wedding coordinator, menswear by Ermenegildo Zegna & Peppers Formal Wear, rings by Fairfax & Roberts, shoes by Jimmy Choo, stationary by Papier D’Amour and flowers by Scooter Flowers.

Alison & Daniel were married, overlooking Sydney harbour at Quay Restaurant in Circular Quay, after meeting seven years ago at a bar. Their gorgeous day is featured in the latest issue of Bride to Be.

Valentines Day Winner

Congratulations Stacey Thomas! The winner of our Portrait Couture Valentines Day competition. Stacey wrote to us with a beautiful story of a scavenger hunt in the U.S.:
“My best date was while I was overseas in America. A boy I met while travelling wanted to take me out, but also show me San Francisco. He created a scavenger hunt around the city with some clues leading to his favourite spot, while other clues led to holding hands and kisses. It was a date that I will always remember because it was like no other date I have ever been on. It was so much fun, thoughtful and just very romantic.”

Who am I?
I was born 29 June 1940, in Sydney, and left school at 14 to enter the National Art School in East Sydney. After 5 years study, I commenced a highly successful career as an art director and designer in New York, London and Sydney. My first solo exhibition was held in Sydney in 1980. Since then,I have held over 50 one-man shows, including major exhibitions in Australia, Europe, Japan and the USA. My work has been described as the most original style to come out of Australia, and his paintings are in collections throughout the world. See me revealed at the “Famous of Mosman” exhibition soon…
Get ready for an exciting new exhibition by Graham Monro featuring local Mosman identities.
Being located in the village of Mosman has allowed us into the many lives of Mosman locals. We are privileged to photograph their families, homes, and pets and along the way.
